EPI Construction is proud to share that we will be participating in the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon as part of Team Fox, the grassroots fundraising arm of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). This exciting event gives our team the opportunity to go beyond the finish line, raising both awareness and critical funds for Parkinson’s research.
Why This Matters to Us
This cause is especially meaningful to EPI Construction’s owner, Gary Blackwell, who will be participating in his third LA Marathon. While he has completed this race before, 2026 marks his first official company-wide fundraiser. Gary is extremely excited to lead Team EPI in supporting the Foundation and a mission that is near and dear to his heart. After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in early 2024, Gary has made it his mission to turn his diagnosis into purpose. His journey reflects his determination to stay active, positive, and involved in advancing research for a cure. Running the LA Marathon with Team Fox is deeply personal to him, as he channels his own experience into raising awareness and critical funds for Parkinson’s research. Gary noted, “By running together, we’re combining our passion for teamwork with a shared commitment to help advance the search for a cure.”
